BATAVIA - Maruja Rodríguez Vivas, beloved wife of Domingo Rodríguez Viso, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024 at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family.

Maruja, daughter of José Horacio Vivas and Angelina Vivas, was born on December 5, 1936 in Cordero, Venezuela. She grew up in a loving home and family remained the center of her life.

Maruja dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children Filiberto and his wife Lucía, María E.(†) and her husband Wladimiro, Domingo and his wife Carolina, María Auxiliadora and her husband David, and María Gabriela and her husband Todd. Maruja found immense joy in her role as grandmother to Isabella, Wladimiro, Carlos, Domingo Dennis and Daniel, and great-grandmother to Oliver, Milan and Dahlia, whom she deeply adored and appreciated.

She is survived by his sister Gloria Vivas and a large family of cousins, nephews and nieces. Maruja's love expanded beyond her immediate family as she embraced each member of her family and was a source of love, strength and wisdom to all who knew her. Maruja's infectious smile and sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone around her. She had a gift for telling stories and could always be found sharing jokes and laughter with those she loved. Her positive outlook on life was a ray of light even in the darkest of times.

Maruja's legacy of love, kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While her absence leaves a void, her memory will continue to provide comfort and inspiration to those who were lucky enough to have her in their lives.

BATAVIA - Maruja Rodríguez Vivas, querida esposa de Domingo Rodríguez Viso, devota madre, abuela, bisabuela y amiga, falleció pacíficamente el 3 de mayo de 2024 a la edad de 87 años, rodeada de su amada familia.

Maruja, hija de José Horacio Vivas y Angelina Vivas, nació el 5 de diciembre de 1936 en Cordero, Venezuela. Creció en un hogar amoroso y la familia siguió siendo el centro de su vida.

Maruja se dedicó de todo corazón a sus hijos Filiberto y su esposa Lucía, María E.(†) y su esposo Wladimiro, Domingo y su esposa Carolina, María Auxiliadora y su esposo David, y María Gabriela y su esposo Todd. Maruja encontró una inmensa alegría en su papel de abuela de Isabella, Wladimiro, Carlos, Domingo Dennis y Daniel, y bisabuela de Oliver, Milan y Dahlia, a quien adoraba y apreciaba profundamente.

Le sobreviven su hermana Gloria Vivas y una gran familia de primos, sobrinos y sobrinas. El amor de Maruja se extendió más allá de su familia inmediata, ya que abrazó a cada miembro de su familia siendo una fuente de amor, fortaleza y sabiduría para todos los que la conocían. La contagiosa sonrisa y el sentido del humor de Maruja alegraron la vida de todos los que la rodeaban. Tenía un don para contar historias y siempre se la podía encontrar compartiendo chistes y risas con aquellos que ella amaba. Su visión positiva de la vida fue un rayo de luz incluso en los tiempos más oscuros.

El legado de amor, bondad y fortaleza de Maruja vivirá en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron. Si bien su ausencia deja un vacío, su recuerdo seguirá brindando consuelo e inspiración para aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de tenerla en sus vidas.
