Marv Coble age 74, of Broken Bow, NE passed away December 10, 2025, at his home in Broken Bow.
A visitation and time to greet the family will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary. A graveside service will follow the visitation at the Broken Bow Cemetery. Following Graveside Services a reception will be held at Sylvesters in Broken Bow. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Govier Brothers Mortuary is assisting the family. Online words of remembrance or condolences may be left at www.govierbrothers.com
Marvin Lewis Coble was born on September 11, 1951, to Lewis Howard and Harriet Elaine (Engelsgjerd) Coble. Marv attended school in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1970. Marv worked with his father Howard doing construction work and farming all his life. During the winter Marv would plow snow, clearing the parking lots of local businesses. Marvin was married to Janet “Lefty” Behrends in 1972. Janet died in 2005. Marv continued to make his home in Broken Bow.
In his younger years Marv enjoyed hunting both deer and pheasant. He could be seen driving around on his early morning cruises or sitting on his front porch having his early morning coffee. In later years Marv could be found sitting at the “Smart Table” at Sylvesters solving all the local problems.
Marvin is survived by his two sons: JR and wife Kim of Broken Bow, and Marty and wife Stephanie of Marysville, KS, a daughter, Misty Torres and husband Brodie of Broken Bow, grandchildren, Justin Coble, Qwentin Coble, Austin Torres, Jordan Torres, Eli Coble, Lillian Coble, and Harper Coble. He is also survived by his brother Gary and wife Deb of Broken Bow, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister Maryln.
