Sue was my aunt and all though we didn´t see each other much these last few years I loved her very much. She has always been a sweet and soft-spoken person. Now she and Bob are together again.

I pray for Matt, Lori, their children, and extended family at this time of sadness, that their grief will be lightened with comforting memories of their Mom, Grandmother and friend Marva Sue. Sue inherited her Dad Marvin's quick funny wit, and her Mom Eva's sweet kindness and grace, but Marva Sue was an amazing woman on her own, blessed by God at birth with the ability to look at life with hope and positivity.
I am Marva Sue's cousin Vicki, in Fresno. CA. My Mom Lillie was Marvin's sister. One of my fondest memories of Sue is when I was a kid. My parents drove us from California to Kansas to visit Marvin, Eva and Marva Sue. When I first met Sue as an 11 year old, I was mesmerized! I couldn't believe I was actually related to this beautiful movie-star-quality 15 year old! I'd never met anyone near my age with so much poise and grace. While our parents laughed and reminisced in the living room, Marva Sue was kind to entertain me in her beautiful pink and white bedroom with ruffled bedspread, pillows, matching lamp shade and vanity set that I'd only seen in magazines! (1960's) She probably didn't know what to do with an 11 yr old, so Marva Sue played Johnny Mathis records for me. She loved Johnny Mathis songs, especially, Misty. When we connected years later, I recalled this fond and vivid memory to Marva Sue and thanked her for treating me so graciously. We laughed at the coincidence that years ago, Johnny Mathis' drummer became my drummer. During our calls over the years, Sue loved telling me about her darling grandkids and how well they were doing in sports. She loved going to their games, and loved her family so very much. As many reading this will agree, we were extremely blessed by Marva Sue's down-to-earth ability to live life with consistent faith and hope. Her positive attitude was always a sweet reminder of God's great and perfect love and plan for each of us. I will miss Marva Sue, and I look forward to reuniting with her again, and with family that's gone before us to join our Lord in Heaven.

My heartfelt prayers are with you Matt, Lori, and family.

My heart was so saddened when I heard about Marva Sue. Even though I did not see her often because of living in California, I have such fond , fun memories of her. She had such a great sense of humor. I do not think Marva Sue ever knew a stranger. She loved her family and friends passionately. Marva Sue will be greatly missed. My prayers are with Lori, Matt, grand children and family. I hope it gives you some comfort and peace that she is with our savior in eternity. Love you. Rosalind (Roz) Healy Combley and family
