Marvel Shirley Thiry, 96, of Mt. Clemens, passed away peacefully at her home on September 5, 2025, with her family by her side.

Marvel was born January 4, 1929, in Detroit to the late Jack and Lilly (nee Mueller) Frost. She married Gerald Paul Thiry on January 12, 1949. They spent 55 loving years together until his passing on December 19, 2005. She worked as a school bus driver for 23 years until her retirement in 1994. Marvel enjoyed being a social butterfly which led her join the Red Hat Society and take many vacations with her friends. She was an active member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in St. Clair Shores. Marvel loved playing Domino's and Uno. She was family oriented and always enjoyed visiting with family. Most people found the name Marvel very unique and sometimes referred to her as Marvelous Marvel.

Marvel is survived by her children, Michelle Mayes and Denise Williford; grandchildren, Erica, Jay, Nathan, Erik, Nicholas and Marissa; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Sarina, Kira, Jeffrey, Kaiden, Caleb, Cameron, Scarlett, Samantha, Keagan, Hayden, Braxton, Rowan and Wesley; great great-grandchildren Caden, Madlyn, Bradley, Dawson and Devin.

She is predeceased by her husband Gerald; sons, Michael, Skip and David; grandchildren, Joshua and Luke.

Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
