Lewistown- Marvin Lee Chockley, 86, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:30 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1938 in Vermont, Illinois, a son of Joe W. and Lela G. (Vanfosson) Chockley. He married Gayla Stufflebeam on July 9, 1960 in Farmington. She survives.
Also surviving Marvin, is his two sons, Troy Chockley of Jefferson City, Missouri; Scott Chockley of Peoria; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding Marvin in death were his parents, brother, Joe D. Chockley, and sisters Marge and Lois.
He worked and retired in 1993 from the Local Steamfitters Union #353 in Peoria, after many years.
Per Marvin's wishes, there will be no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. To leave online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
