Marvin Robert Ernest Jungmeyer
August 6, 1933 – November 11, 2025, Russellville, Missouri.
Marvin "Bud" Robert Ernest Jungmeyer, 92, of Russellville, Missouri, passed peacefully on Veteran's Day November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family on his beloved farm. A man of unwavering loyalty, gentle strength, and quiet kindness, Marvin lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, friends, and farm.
Born on August 6, 1933, Marvin grew up with the values that shaped him forever-hard work, devotion to family, and respect for the land. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Infantry before returning home to build a lifetime of work, love, and legacy at Jungmeyer Lumber. Marvin married the love of his life Carol on May 23, 1951. Together, they shared 44 years together in marriage before her passing.
Marvin loved his community and served it wholeheartedly. He was President of Community Point Bank, a member of the Russellville Lions Club, Friends of Russellville, and the Russellville Engine Show. He also served as Director of the Lake Ozark Polled Hereford Association. A faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, he donated his time, talent, and lumber generously to many in need. He attended Jefferson City Junior College.
He is survived by his son, Marvin "Sonny" Jungmeyer (Brenda Lee Bowman-Jungmeyer); grandchildren Kevin Jungmeyer (Kylee Kimball), Angie Galliher (Will Galliher), Leah Kempker, Paul "Bo" Hoelscher (Kelly Hoelscher), and Mikala Jungmeyer-Geiger (Garrett Geiger); and great-grandchildren Billi Galliher, Piper Dudenhoeffer, Lyam Kimball, Jade Kempker, Leighton Hoelscher, Locklan Hoelscher, Braxton Geiger, Briggs Geiger, bonus grandchildren Cam and Avery. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Ann (Schoch) Toebben, along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends who became family.
Marvin loved the simple joys that made his world full-farming and tending his cows, spending time with his loyal dog Trixie, John Deere tractors, Central Dairy ice cream, sprint cars, watching sports (especially Jimmy Lincoln's basketball teams), family dinners, time at the lake, and days on the beach or boat. His life was built from strong hands, a generous spirit, and a heart that loved deeply.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol (married May 23, 1951), sister Jerene Jungmeyer Enloe, brother Donny Jungmeyer, his parents Arthur and Ruth (Goldammer) Jungmeyer, and mother-in-law Nannie Mahan brother-in-law Bill Enloe, Jerry Toebben, Bob Fischer, and sisters-in-law Anne Fischer and Berniece Jungmeyer.
Though we will miss him dearly, his legacy lives on in every story told, every lesson remembered, and every sunrise over the fields he walked. His spirit continues in us, in our hearts, in our families, and in the land that still carries his footprints.
Memorial contributions honoring Marvin's compassionate heart may be directed to the Marvin Jungmeyer Memorial Caring Fund, created to continue sharing his love and care within the community.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00p.m.–7:00 p.m., Weber-Millard Funeral Home in Russellville, MO where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and surround one another with love and support.
Funeral services will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, MO honoring his life, his faith, and the legacy he leaves in each of us.
Arrangements are under the direction of WEBER-MILLARD Funeral Home, 13415 Route C, Russellville, Missouri 65074 (573) 782-3525. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.millardfamilychapels.com.http://www.millardfamilychapels.com/
