Roger "Chick" Neil Hirschvogel, 74, of Russellville, Missouri, passed away on July 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was born in March 1951, the son of the late Carl and Nadine (Murphy) Hirschvogel. A proud 1969 graduate of Russellville High School, Roger went on to serve his country in the United States Navy shortly after graduation.

He began his professional life with Colonial Printing and later retired from the Missouri Bar Association. In both career and character, Roger was known for his dependability, skill, and easy-going spirit.

On August 8, 1997, he married the love of his life, Sherry Bergman, and together they shared many wonderful years filled with laughter, family, and cherished memories.

Roger had a deep passion for the outdoors and was happiest when fishing, camping at Long Valley Resort, or enjoying the lake life at his beloved Golden Beach lake house-one he proudly built himself. He also had a remarkable talent for restoring old cars and trucks, and could build just about anything, from furniture to full homes. His shop was often a gathering place where friends would stop by to talk, share a story, and enjoy a cold drink.

Above all, Roger loved his family and friends. He was a loyal husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a true friend to many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; son, Jason (Leshia); stepdaughters, Heather Garnett-Dean (Matt), Traci Distler (Adam), and Jordan Faiferlick; sister, Barb Gier (Art); grandchildren, Hayden (Sophie), Hannah (Braeden), Amber (David), Jessica (Kelly), Stacia, Ella, Ava, Connor, and Bennett; seven great-grandchildren; in-laws; several nieces and nephews; and countless close friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Rose Hirschvogel; nephew, Gary Gier; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Bergman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.).

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Branch, (3007 Main Street, Lohman, Missouri, 65053). A Celebration of Life will follow from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Bring your own cold drinks to honor Chick. Snacks will be provided.

Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kind heart, strong hands, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him.

Arrangements are under the direction of WEBER-MILLARD Funeral Home 13415 Route C Russellville, Missouri 65074 (573) -782-3525. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.millardfamilychapels.com.
