Marvin M. LaChappelle

HALFMOON Marvin M. LaChappelle, Jr., 76, of Beach Rd. passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cohoes, Marvin was the son of the late Marvin LaChappelle, Sr. and Gladys Prescott LaChappelle. He attended Shenendehowa schools and went on to work as a drywaller throughout the area for many years. He then worked at Boyd Printing in Albany until his retirement.
Marvin was a longtime, active member of the Cohoes Waterford Elks Lodge and he belonged to American Legion Post 1450 in Halfmoon as well. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Marvin was the beloved husband of the late Lourdes Clark LaChappelle; the loving father of Tammy L. Cocco of Clifton Park and Tina M. LaChappelle of Clifton Park; the brother of Barbara Jean Ferguson (Robert) of Rutland, VT and Bertha Werner (Leland) of Clifton Park; the grandfather of Jonathan M. LaChappelle (Andreana), Anthony M. LaChappelle and Michael J. Cocco; and the great grandfather of Karlie LaChappelle, Kayleigh Sovie, Maddox LaChappelle, Brinley LaChappelle, Everleigh LaChappelle and the late Liam LaChappelle.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. prior to the service.
