Marv was born on August 17, 1937, in Chicago to the late Bessie (nee Ondrla) and John Lichte and passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was 88 Years old.
Proudly serving his Country in the United States Navy from 1956-1959, Marv was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes, WI. Marvin was a man of many talents. He was an electrician for over 40 years and a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 134 who worked on the Sears Tower, Hancock, Water Tower Hotel and the rebuilding of O'Hare Airfield. He loved anything related to planes from flying model planes to piloting full size planes since he had earned his pilot license in 1976. He was also a Flight Instructor at DuPage Airport.
A visitation will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Hope Lutheran Church, 876 Lance Dr., Twin Lakes, WI (hopetwinlakes.org). Interment will follow in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church.
