Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home - Bardstown on Apr. 3, 2024.
Marvin Bernard Maeser, 82, with great pain in our hearts, our beloved patriarch went to Heaven on April 1, 2024. He was welcomed into his heavenly home with his family by his side. He was a legend who lived his life to the fullest.
On May 9, 1941 he was a beautiful gift from God to Ruth (nee Bischoff) and Arthur Maeser. Marvin attended grade school at St. Edward Catholic Church and was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 59.
On April 11, he and his beloved bride Mildred would have been married for 60 years.
Proud founder of Marvin Maeser Plumbing, Marvin along with his wife Mildred built the company from the ground up with hard work and determination. Well known in the plumbing industry, he became a friend and mentor to many, including his employees.
Though a plumber by trade, his true passion was farming, and he was known for his love of farm animals. He also loved gardening and collecting and tinkering with his John Deere Tractors and Lionel trains.
We find comfort in knowing Marvin is at peace and was greeted in Heaven by our Heavenly Father, his parents, his brothers Vincent and Gary, his beloved son Troy, his devoted friend Ross McClain, and other departed loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife Mildred, daughters and sons-in-law Melissa and Greg Wilson and Monica and Dan Mangeot, grandchildren Emily, Sarah, Jack (Shelby), Noah, Molly and Lindsey, his sister Rosemary Geswein (John), and brother Ray. He loved and was loved by so many, it is impossible to list them all by name.
Our family wants to give our heartfelt thanks to all of the healthcare professionals who have touched dad's life in his time here on earth. We are forever grateful for your guidance and love.
Until we are reunited with him in Heaven, we will miss him deeply. We're sure he is sneaking table scraps to his canine buddies Liddy and Remi and watching shows with his son Troy. God decided it was time for his earthly body to rest, but we rejoice in knowing Christ has transformed his lowly body so that he will be like His glorious body.
