Marvin Elwood Wren Jr, 74, of Corpus Christi passed away on February 20th, 2024.
Marty was born on November 7, 1949, to Marvin Wren Sr and Ola Gregory in Beeville, Texas. After graduating from Mathis High School in 1968, he joined the Air Force where he served in Thailand as an Avionics technician. Marty received an honorable discharge in 1972 as a sergeant. He worked several construction and transportation jobs before entering in the Electrical Field in 1991. After retiring as a journeyman electrician in 2007, Marty spent most of his evening hours taking care of his birds and squirrels with his many backyard feeders. During the day he also enjoyed tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He would restore old tools and equipment and he also enjoyed fishing and stargazing. Marty had a lifelong passion for riding and building motorcycles. He would exercise his green thumb daily cultivating his morning glories, cacti, and numerous wildflowers.
Marvin (Marty) is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Margaret Hetherly, and his children Christina Formolo, Samuel Formolo (Heather ), Alan Wren, and Esmeralda Wren. His sister Teresa Fawcett (Howard ) and brother Albert Wren (Melinda) Three grandchildren Hannah, Xena, and Gavin, and numerous nieces and nephews
Marvin is preceded in death by his Mother Ola Gregory, and Father Marvin Wren Sr (Maudelle Wren) His sisters Jeanette Wood and Nancy Wren, and Grandson Sean Serth.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am on Friday, February 23, 2023, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
