I met Rex in Florence Ala at a State Junior Golf Tournament! We tied playing 18 holes and he won in a playoff. I moved from Decatur in 1970 to Sarasota Fla and ran into Rex and a friend at a Restaurant near a marina. They we sailing around the state of Florida for the summer. We hung out together for about a week and they went on their merry way. Rest in peace Rex Rankin!!!
