Patricia Dunkin Obituary

Mrs. Patricia T. Dunkin, daughter of the late John and Nell Thompson was born on January 14, 1953 in Panama City, FL. Born a child of a servicemember, Patricia moved around often until settling in Selma, AL during her childhood. In her early teen years, Patricia accepted the Lord into her heart and was baptized at Calvary Assembly of Selma.
Patricia, a student of Southside High school, met her sweetheart LaDon Dunkin, a student at Dallas County High School, and after a time of courting, Patricia and LaDon were united in holy matrimony in December of 1970.
After the birth of their three sons, LaDon and Patricia moved to Huntsville, AL in search of better job opportunities. Patricia served in various roles until securing a position at Weathertech where she spent the last fifteen years of her career until she felt the need to medically retire.
Since living in Huntsville, LaDon and Patricia have been members of the Central Assembly, Weatherly Road Assembly, and Hill Wood Baptist Church.
Patricia's medical condition unfortunately left her immobilized, and after one and half years of being bedridden, she was ready to walk through the pearly gates and down the streets of gold and sit next to the river of life that runs through the green pastures.
Patricia went to the be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: the late Christopher Dunkin, Byron (Mandy) Dunkin of Hartselle, AL, Casey Dunkin of Huntsville, AL. She was known as "Grangee" to six beautiful grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Tymchenko, Austin Hood, Parker Dunkin, Blakely Dunkin, Colt Dunkin, and Cameron Knight.
