DATELINE: TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN
Marvin LeRoy Stotler, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was born on September 11, 1937, to Kenneth Stotler and LaVerne (Dirr) Tubbs.
Marvin's journey in life was deeply intertwined with the love he shared with his beloved wives. In 1957, he married Betty Hawkins, who sadly departed in 1984. In 1985, he found love again with Beverly (Miller) Lendon, who survives him.
Marvin's devotion to family was evident in the love he shared with his sons Kenneth (Deborah) and Gregg (Kathy), as well as his stepsons Jerry (Gladys) Lendon and Jay Lendon. His grandchildren Brandon, Cody, Lane, Alan, Jessica, Rebecca, Sabrina, and Joanne were a source of joy and pride for him. He is also survived by his half-brother, Mark Hastings (Sue).
Throughout his life, Marvin found fulfillment in his work and community. He dedicated 36 years of service to the US Postal Service in Tecumseh, MI, retiring in 1992. His commitment extended beyond work, as he was a valued member of the Masonic Lodge in Tecumseh, holding memberships in the Royal Arch Masons, Council, Commandery, Southern Michigan York Rite College, Priory, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Marvin's passions were as diverse as his contributions. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors through hunting, fishing, and camping, creating lasting memories with loved ones amidst nature's beauty.
A Memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Tecumseh Masonic Lodge, 700 Bishop Reed Drive, Tecumseh, MI 49286.
In accordance with his wishes, Marvin's journey culminates in cremation, with his final interment to take place at the Macon Cemetery in Clinton, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Great Lakes Hospice Foundation of Jackson or Lansing, or Masonic Pathways, Alma, in Marvin's honor.
Marvin LeRoy Stotler will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His kindness, dedication, and enduring love will be cherished forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest in peace, dear Marvin. Your spirit will continue to inspire and guide us always.
