Marvin Elwood Tilley

Marvin Tilley passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the age of 84 years. He is lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and their husbands and wives; as well as many friends that became family. He was predeceased by his parents and all but one of his 12 siblings, Orton, who is the last remaining of the 13 children.

Marvin was born and raised in Emo, ON. In his teenage years the family moved to Calgary, AB. He met the love of his life Marilyn and they were then married. Calgary was their home for most of their lives together except for a few years when they lived in BC to help Marilyn's parents on the farm. Marvin loved the outdoors, playing pool, dancing, Country Music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a pleasure to be around and all who knew him loved him.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff at Carewest George Boyack, especially Jamie and Fedora, for the kind and compassionate care shown to Marvin.

A Funeral Service will be held for Marvin at Pierson's Funeral Service (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 3:00 pm, with viewing starting prior at 2:00 pm. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Carewest George Boyack through the Calgary Health Foundation (www.calgaryhealthfoundation.ca).
