Marvin Lee Williams of Triplet, Virginia, passed away on September 24, 2025. Marvin was born on August 5, 1937, and lived a life marked by love and commitment to his family and community.

Marvin worked for Virginia Department of Transportation for 40 years. He was a charter member of the Triplet Volunteer Fire Department and faithfully attended Philadelphia Church. Marvin was a devoted husband to his wife, Mildred (Millie) Marie Spence, who he married December 1, 1956. Marvin and Millie loved children, and together they helped raise and spoil many children in the community. He was a kind and gentle man who loved to help his neighbors, care for animals and spend time in his garden. He especially enjoyed his Saturday outings with his friend, Barry Clarke. Many people’s lives were brightened by knowing Marvin and they will miss his waves from his porch swing.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Millie; his nieces, Sherry Daniel and Debbie Pierce; his goddaughter Susan Wright (Daniel); his granddaughters, Rebecca Wright (Jaime), Allison Powell (Lex) and Caroline Wright; his great-granddaughter, McKinley Powell; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Williams; his brothers, Tom, Lennis, GW and Jeff; his sisters, Becky Baggett, Peggy Malone and Betty Pearson; his grandchildren Eliza and William Wright; and his great-nephews, Timmy Daniel and Gary Pierce.

The family would like to extend special thanks to his caretaker, Erica Seay, at Home Care and Hospice and the staff at Greensville Health and Rehabilitation.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 27, 2025, at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. The family will receive guests prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Greensville Memorial Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Monday September 29, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Triplet Volunteer Fire Department, 3548 Triplet Rd. Lawrenceville, VA 23868 or Philadelphia Church, 14179 Dry Bread Rd, Emporia, VA 23847.
