He graduated from Salem High School in 1969 before earning a Bachelor of Arts (1973) and Master of Science (1974) from Indiana State University. He worked for B&A Electric for 33 years.  Marvin married Linda Elliot in 2005, with whom he shared 15 years of marriage. Together, they enjoyed traveling the U.S., especially the West. Marvin loved planes and also kept a model train collection in pristine condition. His quick wit kept everyone he knew on their toes.  He was active in the Masonic Fraternity, Humboldt Lodge 42, in Terre Haute, where he served as secretary for more than eight years. In 1997, he joined the Scottish Rite in Terre Haute, and in 2005, was awarded the Meritorious Service Award for work in the production department.  Marvin was also a member of the Terre Haute York Rite Bodies and served in the officer line. In 2020, he was selected to receive the Order of the Purple Cross from the York Rite Sovereign College of North America. He was active in the York Rite for more than 30 years.  Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Linda; his parents Everett and Alma Williams; brother Robert Wayne, and sister Loretta Joan.  He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Bennett; step-daughter, Stacey (Kyle) Edrington; step-son, Cory (April) Price; grandchildren, Michael (Kayli) Edrington; Nikki (Garrett) Shover; grandchildren, Porsha, Garrett, and Tessa Price; 3 great-granddaughters, and his trusted sidekick, Marley the Shih Tzu.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
