Brent E. Houston, 68, from Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on October 22, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1957, to Mr. William Edward Houston and Helen Eleanor (Pirtle) Houston in Terre Haute, IN.
He completed his education, receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University. After completing his education, he met and later married his wife, Theresa (Haley) Houston in March of 1980. Together they spent over 45 years by each other’s sides, raising their five children, and watching their children and then grandchildren grow.
Brent cherished his family with the many joys and laughter they shared. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Houston; children, Haley Houston Bolin (Mike), Catherine Houston (Brett), Alice Scott (Joe), and Colleen Houston; as well as his grandchildren, Olivia, James, Isabella, Violet, Juliet, Will, Rory, Nellie, and Mia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Houston; son, William E. Houston II; as well as his brothers, William Houston, Mark Houston, and John Houston.
Services for Brent will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the chapel at Our Lady of Peace, 9001 Haverstick Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, with a funeral mass beginning promptly at 2:00pm at the chapel. Burial to follow services at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
