Jerry Lee Fishel, age 84, passed away on October 18, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1941 in Centerton, Indiana to the late Harry Fishel and Mildred (Robinson) Fishel. Jerry received his Master's degree in Biology from Indiana University, he later married Joan on July 30, 1961 and shared their life together for 64 years. He later taught science and was a sports coach through Mooresville and Plainfield community schools. Jerry spent 30+ years as a State Farm Insurance Agent in Plainfield. Jerry was also a reserve police officer for the Plainfield Police Department for a few years. He was a member of the Plainfield Optimist Club, Hendricks County Community Theater and Mt. Gilead Christian Church in Mooresville. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Fishel, who passed earlier this year. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Bradley (Stephanie) Fishel, Jeffery (Martha Smith) Fishel and Todd (Lori) Fishel; brother, Terry (Ramona) Fishel; 6 grandchildren, Chelsea, Sara, Cameron, Madisyn, Marley, and Chloe; 1 great grandson, J.J. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Lung Association or Mt. Gilead Christian Church ( 6019 E. SR 144 Mooresville, IN 46158)
