Marvyl "Marvy" Ann Hoffman (nee Brady) died peacefully in Parker, CO on October 9th at the age of 96 years, 4 months and 5 days. Marvy was born on June 4, 1929 in Fargo, ND to Charles M. Brady and Josephine Aker Brady. As her parents didn't know they were having twins so Marvy wasn't expected. When she was born her father exclaimed "it's a marvel!". That exclamation was adapted to become her first name.
Marvy grew up in Shelly, MN with her identical twin sister Beverly Jo and her brothers John Irl and Clay Merton Brady. Marvy attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with Beverly, where they sang in the choir. After completing their teaching certificates and working for a short time as teachers, "The Twins" wanted an adventure, so they took jobs as Northwest Airline stewardesses out of Minneapolis. They were known as "The Twins from the Twin Cities" and they were invited to participate in promotional efforts for the airline.
Marvy married Charles W. "Bud" Hoffman Jr. on the 22nd day of May, 1955, until Bud passed in 1991. Marvy is survived by her son Craig and his wife Susan Hoffman, and granddaughters Julia Hoffman and Kristen Hoffman. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Hoffman, her son Scott J. Hoffman, her twin sister Beverly (nee Brady) Palmer, and her brothers, Clay and John. Marvy's loving kindness, artistry and generosity will be missed by all.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at the Beehive assisted living facility in Parker, where Marvy was always blessed by their excellent care, compassion and kindness. The Beehive truly was Marvy's home for her last few years.
A private memorial service will be held on November 1st in Parker, CO.
