Mary Lou Ajitsingh, 68, of Delaware passed away early Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025 at the Laurels of Milford.
She was born July 23, 1957 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to the late Paul Potter and Esther (Fullmer) Buchholz.
Mary spent the majority of her life in Sacramento, CA. She worked as a Senior ACH Specialist for Safe Credit Union for 34 years. Mary started out as a licensed cosmetologist right out of high school in Rio Linda, CA.
She married in 1976 to Shurish "AJ", an active-duty airman and were together 36 years. His military service allowed her the opportunity to live and work in many places but her favorite was the 8 years she was in England.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the color red, reality shows and her jewelry! She adored her animals, especially her blue & gold macaw Anya and her French bulldogs Chloe & Georgia.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Devika (Nathan) Elliott; grandchildren, Gretchen (Luke) Buckingham, Katelyn (Jamal) Lo, Ember Higgins, and Cole Myers; great grandchildren, Elijah and Isaiah Buckingham; stepfather, Buck Buchholz; stepsisters, Bonnie Vary and Jean (Dennis) Mears.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother Darren Potter, stepmother, Helen Potter, husband AJ Ajitsingh and her beloved son Michael Ajitsingh.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
