Brenda Johns

Brenda Lyn Johns, age 56, of Delaware, Ohio entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025.
Brenda was born on May 6, 1969, in Delaware, Ohio to the late Charles E. Dennis and Joyce (Furay) Dennis. Brenda attended Buckeye Valley High School and graduated as part of the class of 1987.
Following graduation, Brenda began a career at International Paper Co in Delaware, Ohio where she worked for nearly 32 years in human resources.
In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed fishing, as well as looking for deals at the local thrift stores and Dollar Trees. Brenda also cherished her bible study group led by Gary and Penny Payne. Brenda also loved attending every sporting event that her grandkids were in.
Brenda was proud of many things in her life. She was proud of her faith in God and Jesus Christ, so much so that she was re-baptized at her home the Sunday before her passing. Brenda was also so proud of her children Stephanie and Jeff. The role that Brenda took the most pride in however, was that of being a grandma.
Brenda was a person who was always positive, and she knew how to have fun. She also was an immense giver. When she knew one of her grandchildren needed or wanted something (especially around the holidays), they would end up with more than 100 times the amount they needed. She would also help with taking people to receive their donations from the food pantry, because helping was second nature to her.
Words like "loving", "goofy", "giving", and even sometimes "ornery" only begin to scratch the surface of who Brenda was as a person. She will be forever missed.
Brenda Lyn Johns is survived by her children Stephanie (Alex) Boester and Jeff Johns; mother Joyce Dennis; brother Ted Dennis; grandchildren Addison Boester, Kinsley Boester, Riley Boester, James Boester, Jeremiah Boester, Jace Johns and Jaxston Johns; nieces Jessica (Chris) Hughes and Aly Dennis; nephews Teddy Dennis and Ryan Perry; great-nieces Aubri Hughes and Sydney Johns; great-nephew Jacob Johns; former husband Jim Johns; as well as her beloved pup Tia.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father Charles E. Dennis as well as her identical twin sister Linda Dennis-Perry.
The family will host a private memorial service at a later date.
