Tommy LaCross Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center on Feb. 25, 2026.
Thomas "Tommy" LaCross Jr., 64, of Ashley passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1961 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to the late Thomas and Mary Kay (Lowther) LaCross and later graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1979. During his childhood, he traveled the United States with his family as his dad worked in road construction. They finally landed in Ashley, where he enjoyed spending the rest of his life.

A welder, Tommy worked at Leibert Corporation for many years before retiring early due to many health issues. After retiring, he started creating metal sculptures of his own creation. He also loved working on his old 1945 Flat Head and puttering around on his old wheelhorse tractor. An avid Buckeye fan, he couldn't wait until the Michigan game because of a rivalry with his uncle Bill from Michigan.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Missy whom he affectionately called "Moo" and her husband and best buddy Eddie Williams; niece, Amber "Shorty" and her husband Eric Browning and their 2 kids, Madyson "Super Shorty" and Christopher "Rocky"; special aunt, Quita Hines.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by multiple aunts and uncles.

Special thanks to Tranquility Hospice and especially Beth for the care that Tommy received from them.

Private family graveside services will be held at Ashley Union Cemetery.

The Snyder Funeral Center, Delaware Chapel is honored to serve the LaCross family.
