Kevin James Crabtree, 48, of Ashley Ohio and formerly of Columbus died suddenly, but peacefully, in his home on January 27, 2026. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 14th, 1977 to Kathy I. Crabtree and James Kirk. He attended Briggs High School in 1992-1993. He graduated from Vinton County High School in 1995. Kevin was involved in sports at both high schools. He was currently employed as a transportation coordinator/driver for Buckeye Dumpsters and worked concessions at OSU stadium and Columbus Crew stadium.
Kevin was the 4th of 4 children. He gave his body to work, but his heart would be in nature and sports. Campfires with family and friends and going to sporting events and cookouts is where Kevin loved to be. Fishing was one of his favorite hobbies, but mushroom hunting and chasing down autographs of his favorite Ohio State players were a close 2nd. Kevin was a wonderful brother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are: Brother Tim (Brenda) Crabtree, sisters Kathy L. Crabtree and Linda (Josh) Crabtree, Nephews Shannon Naprawa and Reece Crabtree, Nieces Randi Anderson, Shelby Anderson, Ceara (Corey) Priddy, Samantha Priddy, Ariel (Jesse) Bonham and Amber (Ryan) Wallace, 3 great nieces, 5 great nephews, uncle and aunt Roger and Alice Harkless, 2 other uncles, 1 aunt, and 2 cousins.
