Mary Louise Allwein, 95, of Lafayette Hill, formerly of Ambler, PA died on August 3rd, 2025. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late John A. "Jack" Allwein. Mary Lou was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 1st, 1930 to the late Amadeo and Mary (Bramante) Malfara. Mary Lou's satisfaction in this world came from being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary Lou was a devout Catholic, an excellent cook, joyful person, and everyone's friend. She had an amazing memory and was the finest storyteller. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she was lovingly known as "Gee". She attended many of their school events and sewed Halloween costumes for them. Mary Lou enjoyed traveling to the New England region, particularly New Hampshire. She loved her cats, antiques, and restoring furniture. She also had an unmatched love of music, enjoying singing and playing the piano. Mary Lou worked for RCA of New Jersey where she was editor of their publication magazine RCA ENGINEER. She is survived by her children Mary Ellen Kopp (Dennis), John Allwein (Jennifer), her six grandchildren Brian, Nicholas Kopp; John, Michael, James, Christopher Allwein, and her three great-grandchildren Liam, Luke and Adrianna Kopp. She was predeceased by her infant child baby Allwein and brothers Rosario "Roy" Malfara and Louis Malfara. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 7th, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 16 S. Spring Garden Street, Ambler, PA 19002. The viewing will be held from 9:00-10:15AM, Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:15AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
