Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Living Word Fellowship for Mary Ann Batiste Ames, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

A visitation will take place at Living Word Fellowship, 3326 Main Hwy, Breaux Bridge, on Saturday, September 28th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 pm. 

Mary was born on January 18, 1967, in Lafayette. Throughout her life, Mary found joy in fishing, crabbing, and tending to her garden. Her compassionate nature and love for her family were evident in all she did.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Ames, Sr.; children, Paul (Katina) Batiste, Jr., Mary Batiste and Miranda Batiste; siblings, Mildred (Larry) Sam, Ambrey (Annette) Batiste, Wanda Batiste and Sarah Savoy; and her grandchildren, Amya Batiste, Paul Batiste, III, Jeremiah Batiste, Noah Batiste, Marcus Batiste and Saige Batiste.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jean-Batiste; father; Leroy Sylvester; sister, Brenda Batiste; brother, LeRoy Batiste; and her godchildren, Conkeisha Batiste and Debricka Batiste.

Pallbearers will be Larry Batiste, Rogers Batiste, Alvin Batiste, LeRoy Batiste, Alfred Paul Onezine, and Eugene Zenon.

Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
