Mary Ann Sommers, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Born in Greentown, Ohio, she was a resident of Uniontown. She attended Greentown schools and worked at Hartville Kitchen for 43 years. Mary Ann was a member of Evermore Community Church, using her gifts over the years to serve as a Sunday school teacher and librarian. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. Her greatest joy was being together with her family. She was a blessing to all that knew her.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ada (Coblentz) Sommers; brothers, Ray, Mel, and Nelson Sommers; sister, Edna Raber. She is survived by her 15 nieces and nephews, Tami (Marlin) Kurtz, Vicki (Larry) Kurtz, Ken (Lydiann) Sommers, Brenda (Jon) Gould, Larry (Michelle) Sommers, Steve (Anne) Sommers, Diane (Wendell) Sommers, Debbie (Steve) Brooker, Naomi (Dan) Frey, Lori (Manuel) Aguilar, Mike (Amber) Sommers, Cindy Miller, Judy (Mike) McClintock, Faith (Kerry) Sommers, Karen (Brett) Yoder; sister-in-laws, Mary (Dave) Wileman, Shirley Sommers, Mary Ellen Sommers; brother-in-law, Alfred Raber; 37 great nieces and nephews; 19 great-great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Kramer Smith St. NE, Hartville, OH 44632. Funeral service will be held at the church on Sunday, August 11th at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Evermore Community Church Cemetery.
