Family and friends may call at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E. Main St, Bridgeport, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, where a prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at All Saints Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Walt Jagela presiding. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Mary Virginia Martino Annese, 74, of Bridgeport, WV, entered eternal rest on November 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 21, 1951, Mary spent her life lifting others with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion.

She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Jo Talerico Martino and grew into a woman whose life reflected the values they instilled-faith, compassion, and family above all else. For 52 wonderful years, she shared her life with her husband, Flease Annese Jr., her steadfast partner and best friend. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and the kind of quiet strength that shaped their family for generations to come.

Mary was a proud and loving mother to her three children, each of whom was the light of her life: Marci Annese Hess and her husband Chris of Upper St. Clair, PA; Steven Michael Annese and his fiancée Leslie of Bridgeport, WV, and Leslie's daughters Colette and Naomi; and Frank Leonard Annese, also of Bridgeport. Nothing made Mary happier than being "Nonna." Her grandchildren - Andrew, Alexander, and Brayden - brought her indescribable joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Martino Jr. of Clarksburg, WV; Louis Martino of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Frank "Tyke" Martino of Clarksburg, WV, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Family was at the center of Mary's world, and she had a special way of making each person feel valued, supported, and loved.

Mary built a meaningful and respected career, including 16 years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she worked with integrity, dedication, and pride until her retirement. A wonderful cook, a generous friend, and a steady source of comfort, Mary's love was felt in her home, her church, and her community. Her life was defined by love, faith, and generosity, and she shared those gifts without hesitation.

She was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She was deeply involved with the Sons and Daughters of Italy, enjoyed her time with the Alley 304 Bowling League, and cheered passionately for her beloved WVU Mountaineers. Mary's presence made the world softer, brighter, and more loving. Her legacy is one of compassion and strength, and the hearts she touched will carry her memory forever.
