Mary Louise Ausley died on March 3, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mary was born on December 2, 1930 in Highlands, Texas. She was the only child to William Charles Stegmiller and Edwin Irene (Doll Baby) Brymer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on March 7, 2024 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Visitation will be the same day at 12:00 with the family present at 1:00.

She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas. There she met the love of her life, Billy Joe Ausley. They were married December 26, 1948 with the dress that she made during her home economics class.

After they graduated, Billy joined the Baytown City Police Force and Mary stayed home raising their children. She loved baking and crafting.

Mary is survived by three sons; Nathan, Terry, and Jody Ausley; four grandchildren, David and wife Emma Ausley; Melissa (Ausley) and husband Brady McManus; Lisa (Ausley) and husband Brian Allen; Michael and wife Jamie Ausley; along with 8 great grandchildren.

She loved her grandchildren but we know she really loved her great grandchildren proven by her never-ending back scratches. She was known by many as GG and will always be remembered by her humor and blunt comments.
