Sharmon Lynn Heckert, affectionately known as Stacy, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 52. She was born on January 11, 1973, and leaves behind a legacy defined by her unwavering love for her family and her compassionate spirit, particularly demonstrated through her passion for rescuing animals and helping those in need even if it meant sacrificing herself.
Stacy is survived by her father, Ted Heckert, her beloved children: her son Jared Heckert, her adopted son Nathan Corbett, and her daughter KarieDawn Heckert, her lifelong love and closest friend Michael Bosworth, her sisters Shellmarie Skinner and Amanda Thompson, along with numerous nieces, cousins, and friends who admired her kindness and affectionate nature.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sontana Coy, and her stepfather, Oscar Coy. Their memories remain cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation is scheduled for October 17, 2025, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Strickland Funeral Home located at 530 TX-36, Caldwell, TX 77836. The funeral service will follow on October 18, 2025, at 10:00am at the same location.
Stacy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
