Benson, NC: Mrs. Mary Frances Barbour, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM-Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Benson Grove Baptist Church 6966 NC HWY 50, N. Angier, NC 27501. Burial will follow in the Ennis-Barbour Family Cemetery. Dr. Billy Cashwell and Dr. Zane Lapinskes will officiate.
Mrs. Barbour was born on December 10, 1941 in Johnston County, NC to the late Thirl and Corene Barefoot Ennis. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper in the family business, B & S Heating and Air Conditioning, and was a homemaker. As a wife, she cherished her marriage of 64 years to her husband, Barry, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith and love. As a mother, she poured her heart into raising her children, instilling in them, the values of kindness, integrity, and devotion to God. Her Lord and her family, were her greatest treasure, and she was their steadfast rock, always leading by example with a heart full of love. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Benson Grove Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Joseph Barry Barbour, Sr., children, Jana B. Parnell and husband, Phil, Julia B. Johnson and husband, Linwood, Joe Barry Barbour and wife, Tabatha, and Joy B. Williamson and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Leslie Parnell, Jonathan Parnell and wife, Melissa, Lauren Guy, and husband, Jacob, Aaron Parnell and wife, Lindsey; Taylor Allen and husband, Chason; Kris Johnson and husband, Lane, Katie Carroll and husband, Patrick, Cameron Barbour and fiancée, Hayleigh Matthews, Sarah Beth Williamson, Caleb Williamson, Cullen Williamson, Scott Johnson and wife, Lynn, and Jennifer Gaddis and husband, Bengie; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Parnell, Hannah Parnell, Micah Parnell, John Owen Parnell, Jon Shelton Barefoot, Noah Parnell, Nate Parnell, Ava Parnell, Ruthie Parnell, Phillip Parnell, Emilie Guy, Adalynn Guy, Madison Gaddis, Jaxon Gaddis, Haisley Allen, Carver Allen, Barrett Allen, and Frannie Kate Johnson; brothers, Dr. Charles Ennis and wife Barbara, T.G. Ennis, and Lavon Ennis, and wife, Trudy; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM-Monday, March 17, 2025 at Benson Grove Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Benson Grove Baptist Church Life Center Fund 6966 NC HWY 50 N, Benson, NC 27504
