Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral HomesMary Patricia (Phillips) Becker, 59, passed away on August 11,2025 after a battle with cancer. “Patty” was born on September 9th, 1965, in Canton Ohio, daughter of Robert and Peggy (Zimmer) Phillips.
Patty grew up as a Massillon resident and graduated from Washington High School in 1983. She attended classes at The Ohio State University before returning to Massillon where she met the love of her life, William Becker. Patty and Will were married on October 17th, 1992 and made their home in Canton. Patty worked for 38 years at Per-Tech Inc. in Massillon.
Patty was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to be out in her yard gardening, feeding the squirrels, and sitting in the sun. She loved spending time reading and listening to audiobooks. Her favorite times were spent with Will. They especially loved spending time in Daytona Beach each year where they made life-long friends. She enjoyed the numerous gatherings spent with family and trips with her mom and sisters. Patty also loved cats, so much so that they owned 8 at one time. Today’s count is 6.
Patty is survived by her best friend and loving husband of almost 33 years, William Becker; her loving parents, Robert and Peggy Phillips; her sisters Vicki (Michael) Reese, Kimberly (Joe) Luckring, Jody (Steve) Secrest; Mother and Father In-Law, Robert and Patricia Becker, Sister-In-Laws Danielle Becker, Nicole (Keith) Watters and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends and family are invivited to calling hours at Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm with a short service immediately following. A celebration of life will take place following the service for all the many people who were touched by Patty's life. Details will be available at the funeral home.
