Mary Ann Benson Fowler

Mary Ann Benson Fowler, 78, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. Born on December 11,1946 in Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Ann grew up in Marietta and Roswell, Georgia and subsequently lived in Athens and Marietta, Georgia, St. Paul, Minnesota, West Lafayette, Indiana, Boca Raton, Florida, Gilroy, California and finally the past 36 years in Naples. She was a member of North Naples Baptist Church, serving the Lord in several ministries including the church's kitchen ministry, as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School and Florida Baptist Disaster Relief. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary Ann's love and dedication to her family and church defined her life.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Carolyn Benson, and her brother Harold Jr. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, C. Wayne Fowler, and was a proud and loving mother to her son Matthew Fowler and daughters Audrey Roth (Jason) and Meredith Fowler. She cherished her role as grandmother to Cadence and McKayla Roth, who brought great joy to her life. Mary Ann is also survived by a half-sister, Christie Hall, a stepsister, Barbara Loner, sisters-in-law Charlene Benson, Junelle Lewis and Judy Fowler, a brother-in-law James Fowler, several nieces and nephews as well as her extended church family.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her loving heart, her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ, and her ability to make every moment special. Though she has gone on to Heaven, her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the loving family and friends she leaves behind. Mary Ann's legacy is one of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the Anderson Cemetery, Ringgold, with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until leaving for the graveside service on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
