Mary Margaret Benson

It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that our family shares the sudden passing of Mary Margaret Benson at her home in Coral Oaks, Palm Harbor, Florida on October 3rd. Our Mother, Sister, Nana and Gran Nana was born on March 13th, 1928 in NY. She lived in New York City and was Vice President of Human Resources at ING Bank relocating to Palm Harbor almost 30 years ago.
Mary Margaret is survived by her sister Joan Strezelecki, her sons, John Benson and wife Yvette, Tom Benson and wife Marietta and her daughter Judy Benson Elburn and husband Patrick Elburn. She is preceded by her mother, Margaret O'Donnell and stepfather James O'Donnell, daughter Margaret (Maggie) Benson and grandson, James Benson.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Frances Benson, Erin Benson, Jonathan Benson, Kathleen Benson, Ryan Alto, Kelly Alto and Darcy Elburn, her 6 great grandchildren Logan, Owen, Leo, Maggie, Nora, and Molly.
Mary Margaret's living example of perseverance, doing the right thing, sound advice and quick wit will be missed by all. We invite you to join us for a memorial service on Thursday October 7th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.
