Mary Ann Betchner, a beloved lifelong resident of Millville, New Jersey, peacefully departed this world on Thursday, January 29th, 2026. Born and raised in Millville, Mary Ann was a cherished member of her community who touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and dedication.
Mary Ann was the devoted wife of Neil Betchner and took great pride in her family. She is survived by her loving children, Susan Betchner, Steven Betchner (Kathleen), and Cyndy Betchner. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Tina Schwoebel, Michelle Portner (Brian), Joshua Betchner (Leah), Abby Betchner (Dakota), Maximus, and Logan. Mary Ann's joy extended to her cherished great-grandchildren, Katie Schwoebel, Resha Portner, and Maddi Portner. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Bernice Wangstrom (late Robert), and Larry Filachek (Annarosa).
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Stella Filachek, her son Kevin Betchner (Lindsay surviving), and her grandson Ronan Betchner.
Mary Ann dedicated her early life to raising her children. As the children grew, she worked at Sears during the day and took some college classes. After working at LG Nesters for a number of years, she worked with her Husband, Neil, at Betco Glass in Millville, NJ. Outside of work, she was an active Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Magdalen Church, now part of All Saints Parish, where she offered her service and faith. Mary Ann was known for her love of reading, her passion for gardening, and enjoying family gatherings. She cherished spending time with her card club friends and after retirement, enjoyed the warmth of Florida during the winter months.
