Mary Beth (Shaner) Kovatto, 66, wife of Barry J Connors, passed away Saturday December 20, 2025 at Phoenixville Hospital while surrounded by loved ones.

Born January 2, 1959, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Betty) G. (Smith) Shaner.

Mary graduated from Pottstown High School, class of 1977. Following graduation, she began a 25+ year career at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, starting in dietary and ending up in the Medical Records Department as a coder. During this time, she received multiple certifications for technical training and education. Before retiring, she spent a few short years at Main Line Health, also as a coder.

While not working, Mary enjoyed trips to Sunset Beach, Cape May. She loved spending time with family for morning breakfasts/coffee time. And she never missed a musical, volleyball game, or hockey game that one of the grandkids was playing in.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter Alison (Kovatto) Blackwell, wife of Aaron; three grandchildren Leah, Jacob, and Ryan. She is also survived by two sisters Elizabeth (Shaner) Miller wife of Jay, and Terry (Shaner) Wade; Brother Tim Shaner; ten nieces; one nephew; and a multitude of great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by son Jon; abrother John Shaner; and two sisters Judy (Shaner) Ludy and Christine (Shaner) Golson.

Visitation will be held Saturday December 27, 2025 from 3-4:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Service of Remembrance will follow.

To my most dear sister Mary, we spent our whole lives together. I will miss you so much but I also know you will be here with me in spirit and probably at some of the most unexpected moments. I will cherish those. Be at peace. Love, Terry
