Mary Frances Hietpas Bork, age 91 of Appleton, passed away at her home on October 3, 2025. She was born in Kaukauna on September 24, 1934, and graduated from Kaukauna High School. She and her loving husband, Daniel Bork Senior married in 1957 and celebrated almost 65 years of marriage.

Her greatest joy was her family. She and Dan lived every adventure right alongside their sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Their adventures together spanned to several countries, sporting events, graduations, marriages, and so many other special moments. She and Dan took pride in every milestone, every accomplishment, and every story her family brought to her. She was a quiet leader of her family by guiding with love, lots of patience, and grace. While Dan told all the jokes, Mary missed no opportunity to share her sassy sarcasm that everyone knew and loved. She was the steady hand, the safe place, the one who always knew how to bring everyone together. Though words will never capture the depth of her impact, we will carry her presence with us in every laugh, every family gathering, every proud moment we wish we could share with her. Her love is forever woven into who we are.

Mary is survived by her two sons: Dan (Anne Streckenbach) Bork Jr. of Appleton and Bill (Jeanne Shavlik-Bork) Bork of Combined Locks; grandchildren: Adam (Christine) Bork, Ashlee (Matt) Pahl, Connor (Mary Thompson) Shavlik, Ryan (Jordyn) Shavlik, Andrew Bork, and Sam Bork; great grandchildren: Jayden Bork, Natalie Bork, Melody Bork, Ashton Pahl, and Owen Pahl; brother and sister-in-law: Marv and Ellie Hietpas; Dan's siblings Tim (Patty) Bork and Gwynne Parker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends who she adored. She is proceeded in death by her soulmate, Daniel Bork Senior and her siblings.

Per Mom's request, there are no funeral services planned. A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
