Mary was born on Friday, November 15, 1946 in Jena, LA, and passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in the comfort of her home. Mary lived her life with a radiant smile that brightened every room she entered. A devoted member of Evangeline Baptist Church, where she not only worshiped faithfully but also taught Sunday school, and previously of the Woman's Bowling Association, she found joy in both fellowship and friendly competition. She worked faithfully as a housekeeper and cleaner, pouring pride into her work and treating others with kindness and respect. More than her accomplishments, Mary's legacy is defined by the love she gave so freely. She never failed to show care for those around her, and her warmth was a comfort to many. Of all her roles in life, her most cherished was being called Maw-Maw, a title that filled her heart with joy. Her favorite phrase, "Love You More," will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Neal Andrew Myles, mother, Vurna Ophelia Cowart-Myles, and her sister, Authurine Terral Thompson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Johnny Boyette of Wildsville, LA; son, Jeff Boyette (Cindy) of Monterey, LA; granddaughters, Morgan Lipsey (Kile) of Monterey, LA and Brooke Boyette of Wildsville, LA; grandsons; Tyler Boyette (Madison) of North Carolina, Aaron Charpentier (Christopher) of Monroe, LA and Jacob Charpentier of Monterey, LA; great-grandson, Caden Lipsey of Monterey, LA; and soon to be, great-grandson, Tate Boyette of North Carolina; brothers, Lum Myles (Louise) of Jena, LA and J.W. Myles (the late Francis) of Jena, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Those honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Tyler Boyette, Aaron Charpentier, Kile Lipsey, Jamison Boyette, Devin King, and Jacob Charpentier.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Evangeline First Baptist, John Manning, Rodney Sones, and Daryl McEntyre.

Mary Dean was an excellent person. I admired her and was always amazed at her patience and love for others. She was always a peacemaker of there was ever any words of conflict or argument.
She loved her family unconditionally.
She was my 1st cousin and the years we drove from Shreveport to Jena, usually monthly, to see her and Lum and JW were some of happiest of my life. We had a great time and she was always the sweetest person. She was loved and she deserved it.
