MRS. MARY ALICE MULLIS BROWN, age 77, of Gresston, GA, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 2, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Dr Donnie Sutton and Pastor Tyler Kirkley officiating, with interment in Gresston Congregational Holiness Cemetery.

Mary Alice was born on October 8, 1947, in Eastman, GA to the late Flossie Duke Mullis and Jim Frank "Bud" Mullis. She attended Dodge County High School and worked several jobs after high school before moving to Valley, AL, where she met her husband, Charlie. After marrying in 1970 the couple relocated to Eastman, GA where they raised their family and enjoyed 43 years of marriage until his passing in 2013. Mary Alice began her professional career in the early 1970s with the Dodge County Service Center, where she worked her way up to a supervisor position in Community Mental Health located in Eastman and later in Dublin, before retiring after 34 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed singing and playing the piano for her church, Gresston Congregational Holiness Church where she was a faithful member, and she played at many funeral services over the years. She loved taking care of her many animals, especially her parakeets and favorite cat, Mrs. Kitty. She liked thrift shopping and loved finding treasures during her shopping trips. She enjoyed crafts, tending to her plants, taking care of and spending time with her family. A favorite time for her was cooking and hosting Sunday lunch meals for her family. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her Husband of 43 years, Charles Lee "Charlie" Brown, Son, Billy Mark Rogers, and Brothers, Vance Mullis, J.F. Mullis, Emmett Mullis, Leroy Mullis, and Gerald Mullis.

She is survived by her Daughters – Amy McGlothlen (David) and Charidy Parkerson (Kerry Rogers), both of Eastman, GA; Step-Daughter – Hope Rodriguez (Tommy) of Camp Hill, AL; Grandchildren – Carson Parkerson (Joanna Pace), Ashley Stokes (Shawn), Joshua Carroll, Caleb Carroll, Tyler Brewer (Nikki), Brittany Thompson, Mara Rogers, and Dylan Rogers; Great-Grandchildren – Tucker, Conner, Cooper, Abby, Ada, Alizah, Aria, Anna, Hayden, Kolsyn, Weston, Kaesen, and Liam; Sister – Geraldine Mullis (C.W.) of Dublin, GA; Brother – Donald Mullis (Linda) of Gresston, GA; Sisters-in-law and Brother-in-law – Charlotte Brown, Maxine Mullis, Jean Brown, Dianne Jones, and Joan Junghans (Wayne); Several nieces and nephews.

The family may be contacted at the Brown residence, 526 Wilson Woodard Rd., Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, August 1.
