Mary Frances Cato Caldwell, a devoted and certified minister of Christian Education, peacefully passed away on June 4,2024, at her residence at the age of 88. She was born in Gaston County on February 6,1936, to the late Giles Cato and Flora James Cato.

Mary Frances's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family and grandchildren. Her passion for spreading the teachings of Christianity through her ministry touched the lives of many. Beyond her professional calling, Mary Frances also found joy in various hobbies such as sewing, playing the piano and organ, as well as singing gospel music.

One of Mary Frances's proudest accomplishments was the cherished memories she created with her late husband, Kenneth Ray Caldwell, Sr., during their travels across the country in their camper. Together, they explored vast landscapes, even journeying as far as Alaska, creating lasting bonds and unforgettable experiences.

Mary Frances Caldwell is survived by her loving children, Deborah Ann Schrader, Cynthia Gail Parks (Jerry), Kenneth Ray Caldwell Jr., Kathy Elaine Standifer (James), and Bradley Stephen Caldwell (Patricia Bullinger). She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Ann Guffee; brother, John Wayne Cato; Multiple grandchildren ,Great grandchildren,Great great grandchildren,and Great,great,great grandchildren who were dear to her heart; and her faithful pet dog, Chloe.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation service on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at North Gaston Church of God in Dallas with Rev. Andy Nicholson officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont.

Mary Frances's legacy of love, faith, and unwavering dedication will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace eternal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church's Building Fund, North Gaston Church of God, 1310 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034.
