Mary Carnes Obituary
Mary E. Carnes, age 90, of Cumming, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Myrtie (Grogan) Sosebee; her husband, Jack Carnes, grandson Jeremy Carnes; Sisters, VZ Barrett and Betty Ann Johnson and brother Bobby Sosebee. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cleveland and Gail Carnes; sisters, Vantine Johnson and Linda (Bobby) Pittman; and brother Cecil Sosebee.
Mary was the eldest surviving member of Silver Shoals Baptist Church. Her hobbies were working in her yard, watching all the deer, rabbits, and ground hogs running around her yard. She also liked feeding the fish behind her house at Settingdown Creek. She also loved to crochet.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev Mark Akins, Rev. Greg Rawlins and Rev. Eric Watson officiating. Internment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
