Mary Alice Chipp

Mary Alice Golden Chipp was born February 16, 1932, to the late Arthur and Ruth Golden. She attended
public schools in Liberty County. Mary Alice was a cook and a domestic engineer. She was a member of
the Sunbury Missionary Baptist Church.
Mary Alice was married to Willie Chipp Jr. on December 1, 1956, and to this union, nine children were
born. Two preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her loving and devoted memories: two daughters, Gwendolyn Price and Melissa
Jordan, both of Midway, GA. Five sons, Adolph Chipp, Miami, FL, Arthur G. (Sharon) Golden, Terrell
L. (Patricia) Chipp, Willie R. (Arlene) Chipp, and Kelvin G. Chipp Sr., all of Midway, GA. One sister,
Alfreda Robinson, who preceded her in death. 34 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one of which
preceded her in death, D'Jari Chipp, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 2 godchildren; Lashonda Smiley and
Charles Roberts, 4 special friends; Charlie Mae Bowens, Georgia Stevens, Hattie Osborne who preceded
her in death, and Jean Golphin. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
