With grateful hearts for a life beautifully lived, the family of Mary Cecile Cobb announces her passing on December 4, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Born on November 20, 1946, in Haskell, Texas, to Clif and Annie Bess Cobb, Cecile grew into a woman whose faith, warmth, and generosity shaped everyone blessed enough to know her.
A proud graduate of Abilene Christian University. For nearly 30 years, she served as an
elementary art teacher with Arlington ISD, using her classroom as both a sanctuary of creativity and a place where children learned not only to paint and draw, but to dream, express themselves, and know they were loved.
A longtime and devoted member of Park Row Church, Cecile invested deeply in her church family. She served faithfully in many capacities and was honored to be a Board Member of Park Row Christian Academy, where her heart for children and education continued to shine.
Cecile will be remembered for her fun and loving spirit, her infectious laughter, and a bright smile that could warm everyone’s hearts. She was a true people person—someone who never met a stranger and made everyone feel like they belonged. Her presence lit up every room, and her kindness lingered long after she walked out of it.
Above all, Cecile cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Erin Landis and husband Scott and Anne Stovall, and a proud, doting Mimi to Annie Mae Landis and Gatlin Michael Landis. Her brother Don Cobb and his wife Kara were lifelong companions in love, laughter, and memories. Cecile was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Green, and her parents, Clif and Annie Bess.
Cecile’s legacy is one of faith, compassion, joy, and unshakable love. She taught by example—how to serve others with humility, how to find beauty in the everyday, and how to walk in God’s light with grace and gratitude.
