Mary L. Cole

of Kirkwood

Mary Louise Cole (Nana), 70 of Kirkwood passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Sabrina Smith, Tabaitha & Michael Rhodes, Tonia & Kenneth Northrop, Alen Kelsey, Tricia & Charles Hendrickson, Shawn Kelsey.

Grandchildren, Avrielle, Parker, Ashley, Danny, Dylan, Allyn, Samantha, Zachary, Maddox, Taylor, Alexis, 14 Great Grandchildren as well as foster daughters Jen, Chantae & Qua.

Siblings: J. Wayne DeMarco, Patricia DeMarco, John Christman Jr., Helen Warner along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Cole, parents Louis & Rose DeMarco, son-in-law Danny Smith, sisters: Tina Graham & Deborah Porter.

Mary enjoyed a life long relationship with her Step-Mother, Grace Gately.

She devoted her life to the care of others, her husband, father, mother-in-law and too many foster children to count. Additionally, she cared for the elderly at Willow Point Nursing Home for many years. Mary always felt her greatest achievement and source of joy was her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Beth at Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center as well as all the Hospice staff.

Nana is a beacon of light that will forever shine in our hearts…..

The family will gather at a later date for a Celebration of Life.
