Mary Jean "Jeanie" Cornwell (Schill), resident of Jackson Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her sons at her side on May 23, 2025 at the age of 91.
Born on October 12, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio then raised and attended school in Owensville Ohio. Mary married Robert J. "Bob" Cornwell and for a while worked in banking as well as for the Ford Motor Company, but she will mostly be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family as the matriarch of Cornwell Farms. Along with her husband Bob, they established Cornwell Farms in 1969 and raised three wonderful boys in Batavia Ohio building the family business ensuring everyone was always taken care of.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Cornwell, parents, Fred H. and Marie Schill, her sister, Ruth Eileen Werring, a grandson, John Cornwell and her oldest son, Robert Michael Cornwell.
Mary is survived by her son Tom and wife Lori Cornwell of Goshen, her son Nick and wife Angie of Batavia, and grandmother to Kristen, Ryan, Josh, Bobby, Patrick, Erin, Shelby, Lance and Patrick McNamara, along with many family and friends... especially her friend and caregiver Deborah Johnson.
The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Thursday, May 29th, from 9:30 AM until time of the funeral service beginning at 11 AM. A funeral procession will then take place to her final resting place at St. Louis Cemetery, Owensville Ohio, alongside her husband. Family and Friends are then invited to the Clermont County Fairgrounds, 4-H Hall, 1000 Locust Street, Owensville to share food and memories.
"Pop has been waiting in the car for Mom to pick her up and take her home. He took her home Friday." Forever in our memories and hearts.
