With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Barger-Cortez on July 16, 2025. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose heart of gold touched countless lives.
She was the proud and loving mother of Crystal, Michael, Joe, Jodelle, Monique, Justine, Molly, and Mandy, and the late Barb. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large extended family of brothers, sisters, and those she loved. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ray Cortez, daughters Barb and Justine, her father, mother, and stepmother.
A lifelong caregiver in every sense, Mary dedicated herself to raising her children, nurturing many others as a daycare provider, and giving love and stability as a foster parent. Her home was a place of warmth, joy, and open arms-Her love lit up every room.
