Mary Frances Tillett Cox, 73, widow of Samuel Wayne Cox Sr., Versailles, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Jessamine County at High Bridge on April 16, 1952, to the late Harold Tillett and Laura Bell Horton Tillett. She is survived by her sons, Samuel Wayne Cox Jr. (Effie), and Mark A. Cox; brothers, Tony Underwood and Keith Tillett (Cindy); sister, Rebecca Sheryl Smith; as well as granddaughter, Andrea Murphy, and great-grandson, Felix. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 9, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.
