Victor Dale Jones, 76, husband of Lynda Haley Jones, died on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on November 30, 1948, the son of the late Isaac Louis Jones and Anna Louise Montgomery Jones Mullican. Victor was a retired employee of Standard Products, the Jessamine County Board of Education and a farmer. He was a 1968 Jessamine County High graduate and a deputy sheriff in 1982. He served in the US Air Force 37th Security Police Squadron Sniper Division and a Vietnam Veteran. In addition to his wife, Lynda, he is survived by a daughter, Victoria Lynn Hager and her husband, Dooder, a son, Justin Dale Jones and Jayda Morris, a brother, Donald “Grizz” Jones and his wife Prachid “Al” Jones, four grandchildren, Ashtin Graham (Gunner), Garrett Jones (Katie), Haley Hager, Emmett Hager, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Gail Young and Debra Kaye Adams. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales and Bro. Mickey Stinnett officiating. The interment will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Bearers will be Neil Jones, Floyd Walker, Jason Cole, Seth Barron, Noah Barron and Jared Murphy. The visitation is scheduled to take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family wants to give a special Thank You to the Lexington VA Medical Center doctors, nurses, staff and especially the Dialysis Unit for many years of care and love to Victor.
