Mary Lou Cuzzort, a cherished soul who graced the lives of many, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Novi at the age of 81. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Born to Steve and Suzanne Nagy, Mary Lou's life was a testament to the values of compassion and generosity. She was a devoted wife to the late John Cuzzort for five beautiful years, a partnership marked by love and companionship that continue to inspire those who knew them.
As a mother, Mary Lou was a beacon of strength and love for her daughter, Louan Cuzzort. Her nurturing spirit and boundless affection created a warm and loving home where Louan was able to grow and flourish. Mary Lou's legacy lives on in her daughter's heart and in the memories they created together.
Mary Lou was a dear sister to Marsha (Ron) Marshall and the late Stephanie Emery. Her presence was a source of comfort and support, and her relationships with her siblings were marked by camaraderie and shared experiences. She was also a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and love.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9601 Pardee Road, Taylor, on Thursday, August 17, 2023, with instate beginning at 10:00 AM and the service following at 11:00 AM.
Mary Lou's final resting place will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, a tranquil space that reflects the peace and beauty she brought to the lives of those around her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, honoring Mary Lou's deep faith and commitment to her spiritual community.
Mary Lou Cuzzort's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and selflessness. She leaves behind a void that can never truly be filled, but her memory will forever be a guiding light for those fortunate enough to have known her.
