Mary Ellen Davis, 71, of Ruffsdale, died on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, in Independence Health System, Frick Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1954, in Stahlstown, a daughter of the late Quentin and Ruth Beer Baker. Mary Ellen was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, and she later attended the Western School of Health and Business. Early in her life, she worked at the sewing factory in Norvelt and later at Sony and, after her schooling, she worked as a medical assistant for Allegheny Health System. She is survived by her husband, Doug Bryan Davis; her children, Keri Fosbrink and her husband, Todd, of Connellsville, Jonathan Musgrove of Armbrust, and Bryan Davis and his wife, Jessica, of Unity; her grandchild, Madison Maye; her sister, Margaret Sanner of Stahlstown; her brothers, Roy Thomas Baker and his wife, Betty, of Scranton, Robert Baker of Stahlstown, Philip Baker and his wife, Samantha, of Mt. Pleasant, and William Baker and his wife, Valerie, of Champion; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jean Ann McIlnay, Margaret Etter, and Karen Heffner; and a brother, Quentin A. Baker. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with her brother-in-law, Rev. John Lloyd Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in the Stahlstown Cemetery.
